2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Location Information:
- Precise location when checking into events (via GPS or geofence)
- General location for event discovery and vibe analysis
- You may disable location services, but this will limit App functionality
Device and Usage Information:
- Device type, operating system, and version
- Unique device identifiers
- IP address
- App usage patterns (features used, time spent, events attended)
- Crash reports and diagnostic data
Chat Analysis Data:
- Conversation patterns with dappy (tone, word choice, communication style)
- Interaction frequency and engagement
- This data is used to improve dappy's suggestions and generate compatibility scores
2.3 Information from Third Parties
Authentication Services:
- If you sign in using third-party services (e.g., Google, Apple), we receive limited information such as your name, email, and profile picture
Social Media:
- If you link social media accounts, we may collect publicly available information

- dappy learns your vibe by analyzing:
- Your chat conversations with dappy
- Events you attend and register for
- DAP patterns and successful connections
- This helps dappy suggest compatible users and relevant events
- Compatibility scores are generated based on behavioral patterns, not sensitive personal information
3.3 Safety and Security
- Verify user identity and prevent fraud
- Enforce our Terms and Conditions
- Detect and prevent abuse, harassment, or illegal activity
- Respond to user reports and safety concerns
3.4 Communication
- Send notifications about DAPs, matches, and events
- Provide customer support
- Send important updates about the App or policy changes
- Send marketing communications (you may opt out)
3.5 Analytics and Research
- Understand how users interact with the App
- Improve features and develop new functionality
- Generate aggregate statistics (e.g., "50 users attended this event")

4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Other Users
Public Profile Information:
- Screen name, age, photo, bio, and interests are visible to other users at events you attend
- Squad membership is visible to other attendees
DAP Activity:
- When you DAP someone, they can see your profile
- When someone DAPs you, you can see their profile
- Mutual DAPs create a chat session
Compatibility Scores:
- Other users may see a compatibility percentage when viewing your profile
- Individual behavioral data is NOT shared - only aggregate compatibility scores
Event Vibe Scores:
- Aggregate "vibe" information is displayed to all event attendees
- Example: "Room vibe: Chill & Artsy - lots of creatives tonight"
- Individual user data is NOT included in vibe descriptions
4.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the App:
- Cloud hosting providers (data storage)
- Analytics providers (app usage insights)
- Customer support tools
- Payment processors (if applicable)
- AI/ML services (for dappy functionality)
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us.
4.3 For Business Transfers
If dapr is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

- Event organizers may receive aggregated demographics (age ranges, interests) without identifying individual users
5. Data Retention
5.1 Active Account Data
We retain your account information as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce our agreements
- Prevent fraud and abuse
5.2 Chat Messages
- Chat messages are stored ONLY during active chat sessions (10 minutes or until proximity verification)
- Messages are permanently deleted after chat expiration
- We do not retain message content after deletion
5.3 Event Attendance
- Event attendance records are retained to support the points system and vibe analysis
- Attendance history may be retained even after account deletion for integrity of the points system
5.4 Deleted Accounts
When you delete your account:
- Your profile becomes inaccessible to other users
- Most personal data is deleted within 30 days
- Some data may be retained longer for legal compliance or fraud prevention
- Aggregate analytics data (de-identified) may be retained indefinitely
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Correction
You may:
- View and update your profile information in the App settings
- Request a copy of your personal data by contacting us at privacy@dapr.app
6.2 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:
- Your profile will be removed
- Most personal data will be deleted within 30 days
- Some data may be retained as described in Section 5
6.3 Location Services
You may disable location services in your device settings, but this will limit your ability to:
- Check into events
- Use location-based features
- See nearby events
6.4 Marketing Communications
You may opt out of marketing emails by:
- Clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email
- Adjusting notification settings in the App
- You cannot opt out of essential service communications (account security, policy updates)
6.5 dappy Personalization
You may opt out of dappy's personalized suggestions in Settings:
- Disabling this will limit compatibility scores and event suggestions
- You can still use the App's core features
6.6 Do Not Track
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no industry standard for how to respond.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest
- Access controls limiting who can access user data
- Regular security audits and updates
However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password confidential
- Not sharing sensitive information in chats (passwords, financial data)
- Using the App in accordance with our Terms
Important: Do NOT share sensitive personal information (passwords, credit card numbers, social security numbers, health records) with dappy or other users. We are not responsible for information you choose to disclose.
8. Children's Privacy
dapr is NOT intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we become aware that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will:
- Delete the account
- Delete associated personal information
- Take steps to prevent future access

9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.
